This winter I decided to dismantle my bike. It was running OK, a bit sluggish here and there, but not enough to worry, as a matter of fact a few members here said don't worry about it, that's it's normal. I like learning so I decided to work on it. I cleaned the carbs, synced the carbs, and adjusted idle, also checked that the jets and tappet clearance were in spec. I also found crusted white sediment on both main jet holder o-rings, so I cleaned and replaced those. and carefully scraped the holders clean too. I thought of adjusting the pilot screws but decided that because they're behind the brass seals, I'd leave them alone.

Well, i just finished putting it all back together and I'm blown away. It's so much faster off the line, and far more responsive than before. It feels like it has more torque now, the engine responds to the throttle really quick. Thanks for the help!

You sure it's not just the 'haven't ridden this beast in a while, whoa how fast it is!' effect?
Don't wanna take away the feeling of accomplishment, though.

Ride it like a 2 stroke:
1: Rev high
2: Add oil
3: Repeat

Ha, nope, but I know what you mean. If you look back at my posts before winter storage, I was having issues with performance, and now they're fixed.

It's always good to know how a bike SHOULD run....now u have a "base line" to keep it that way.
Congrats.  :)
