Hey, I live in Atlanta.... SecondGen.... call me the day you get the kit so that we can work on our GS's at the same time!

Will do, TB.  I'll send you a PM if/when I get the kit.

As far as contacting Junary, I'm fine with whatever you guys think is best.  May not mean much, since this is an online forum and there's a certain amount of anonymity in that, but I can assure you that I wouldn't abuse the info, if received.  However, if one of the Mods wants to take on the responsibility of contacting Junary, it's the "most proper" way to proceed, IMO.

Yeah pantablo is right.  And as for the adustment time it really shouldn't take more than an hour or two to actually do the adjustment.  It is waiting for a weekend that would have me say at most a week.  But then again i would make time in an afteronoon to get it done and get the kit back on the way.

Do we know where we're at with the west coast kit? Just curious...

Finally checked it yesterday.  One valve is < .04 mm but the bucket still rotates.  So that means 2.65 down to 2.60.  Unfortunately, there's nothing in the kit between 2.65 and 2.5.  None of the local dealers stock GS500 shims, so I had to order one.  When that comes in (probably by Friday), I'll pull off the valve cover, switch it out, and send the west coast kit out on its way.

Not even Bike World in Sunnyvale? I got soooo lucky. They had the shim I needed, so I had no down time at all!  :thumb:

The next member on the east coast list is contacting the last person who received the east coast kit. We're waiting to hear whether he's able to make contact and get the kit passed along.

Hey guys,

Not that anyone missed me or anything, but I moved for a new job in December and that's why I haven't been on in a long time. Anyways, I still have the contact info you guys need. My only concern is disclosing that info without that member's consent. So is there a forum rule about that? Or should I just forward it?

Sorry for being such a pain.

The contact info was sent to me. I have it but dont know what the status of the next-in-line is. this was for the west coast kit. I can send a letter if necessary. I'll look to see if they left a phone or email.

Pantablo, I'm next in line for the EC kit so if you could send him a letter and/or email, I/we would appreciate it.  Otherwise, it looks like we'll need to start a new kit and get it into rotation.

Thanks,
Dave

so Sanjay, has the west coast kit made it's way to the next stop?

Indeed, it will be shipped out tomorrow.  There's been lots of rain here and I have to wrench outside...hence the delay.  Got it all done this weekend, so it's labeled and ready for shipment.  It will go to Kee, as Budrick already did his a while ago.  So here's the updated list:

Yes! So depending on how much I ride and how quickly the next 3 people on the west coast do their valves, I'm getting it right around 4K miles. Swish!

Has ANYONE seen or heard from JunaryBunch, aka Rick Choi... the guy who was last sent the East coast kit?  There are two people in Atlanta waiting on it (SecondGen is next on the list).  The west coast kit has been to 3 people in the time its taken JunaryBunch to pass the east coast kit along.   The link to his profile is here and it says he hasnt' logged in since November 3rd.  How much longer before another kit is made or before someone tries to contact him?
