OK, so I got the upper triple off, which was way easier than I thought, and will be taking it to the local MC shop tonight to get them to make a key.  I noticed the number 1741 stamped into the back of the ignition assembly.  Is that they key code, if there really is such a thing?

Would I be better off taking it to a locksmith instead?
