Thanks

ride in the rain!! It cleans up the leathers good as new!

For stuff you're going to have around a long time and where the quality of the feel of the leather is important - car seats, pants that you wear to look sexy, yadda - use LeatherZ's guidelines.

For motorcycle leathers, which don't get felt on the outside and just need to protect your heinie in an off, I just use the Meguiar's spray leather cleaner that you get at the auto store.  It leaves the leather a little plasticky after a while (although not as bad as Lexol; that stuff is horrible), but it's easy, and who cares?

seconded; connolly's "hide food" is good stuff too, but the premium over saddle soap + mink oil (can be found with the shoe shine supplies at any wal-mart type store) is not worth it

the one thing that worries me is i have the alpinestar ice jacket and its a little bit of blue leather with the majority being pure white. So i don't want the stuff to get discolored on me. I was reading up on lexols white bottled stuff and that seems a bit safer for use with my jacket.

BUt we'll see.

Take a clean white cloth.  Spray leather cleaner on.  Rub blue bit.  If the blue comes away, try something else; if not, you're OK.

yeah i'lll try a small spot first. I'm going to try lexols neatsfoot, which is supposedly more colorfast. For my black leathers i'll use whatever...it won't as much difference.
