Every year, the Concours d'Elegance for the BMW club gets bigger.

Z-cars.  Me likey the Z-cars.

Nice mats.

A WTF? blimp.

Vintage.  2002s, CSs, the like.

E30s; 2nd-gen 3-series.  Just like my old one.  OK, a lot cleaner than my old one ever was.

The Featured Car this year - E28s.  Old 5-series.

This is the first year that the Minis got their own space.  So we'll probably see more next year.

The race cars that couldn't make it to Mission for today's race.

E36s - third-gen 3ers.

First-gen 6s.

8-series V12.

E34 M5.

Beemers.

New 6.

The Best in Class winners.

The Z8 that placed 2nd in Z-class.  Top up, for heaven's sake.

I thought bond drove a austin martin?

CasiUSA

Bond drove the DB5, but Pierce Brosnan drove the Z8 for one movie, and a 740il for another. The z8 was sawed in half... :x

I've always been a big fan of the 2002's and the 1st Gen M3's

mastrind

I learned to drive stick in a mid nineties 325is.....man that car was FUN (my dad's but I'd take it whenever I could......and he was gone a lot back then.....).....
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

The first Z3 to make a public appearance was the 1.9 Bond drove in Goldeneye.  Blink and you'll miss it, but Z folk like to call their cars Bond cars.

Beemers..... :guns:

Jazzzzz

I'm a big BMW fan. I own a 92 M5 and my buddy a 97 M3.

My dream car is a S54 (new m3 engine) M Coupe.

You know.... because Harleys aren't overpriced or anything

When you buy a BMW you are at least getting a little technology and smoothness with that name  you are buying....

With an HD???? you are getting some chrome and a sticker put on an outdated engine and chasis... don't get me wrong, I like HD's... i just can't justify the price
82 GS850GL..... yeah i kinda sold out

E30s are great value for the money, and super easy to maintain/upgrade yourself with just the normal set of garage tools.  If I ever need a car again, another 325e is on my list; screw the modern electronic crap that makes DIY impossible.  Great, fun, fuel-efficient cars with suprisingly spacious trunks.

I dated a guy who had an S54 M roadster for a while, and drove it at a few autoXs and driving schools as well as some roadtrips.  Those are truly awesome cars; the torque peak is just totally flat, so it scoots anywhere in the rev range, and the power keeps comin'.  Slap a rollbar in one of those to stiffen the chassis a bit, and you have one fun, fun track car that's still comfy and stately for road-trippin'.

hows that old saying go....I'd rather be riding a beemer than pushing a harley.....yeah something like that.....

Jake D

I was in Denver this weekend and ended up talking to the owner of this bar where I was drinking (Brix).  He had his Z8 with personal tags (Brix, again) right out side.  After talking to him, I think he wasn't qualified to own it, even though he probably paid cash for it.

But in the BMW stable, I'd like (in order):

850
745i
Z8
M3
6-series
Z4

So hot.

Many of the ancients believe that Jake D was made of solid stone.

The problem with an 850 isn't buying it - it's owning it.  The things are bloody expensive to own.

Most of the local BMW race guys have E30 325i race cars; they're reliable, cheap, and are competitive in their ICSCC and SCCA classes.  Well, in the former, Pro3 is made-for-E30.

pantablo

I like the 850's except I'd opt for the 840 instead. v8 instead of v12, but only like 6hp down, and lighter.

I had a 525 years ago. nice car. I love the z3 coupes. the old CS's are awesome too. very classy.

thanks for sharing these pictures, R.
