Or just jump off with a cool Icon TiMax jacket with 3 genuine titanium plates (awesome for making sparks)... or drag Icon TiMax glove through a turn (just put your inside hand down :o ) and watch sparks go fly...

I have a feeling that this movie could produce results far more dangerous than The Fast and the Furious..

you could glue the Ti plates directly to your ass so when you slide you make sparks.

my boots have metal plates on the front..but i'm smart enough not to touch the ground with them.

Quote from: Budrick320Well today I had to try something.  So I managed to find some screws and screw about 9 of one kind in the heel and 4 of another in the other heel. To compare.
Well it worked! It was cool. I didn't stand on the side of the bike like in the movie, I just put my heels down while riding. Sparks flew about 6-18 inches behind my shoe depending how hard I put my shoe down. A few times I thought my shoe was going to catch on fire or something from the amount of aparks that were comming off.
When I got home and checked my shoes. One screw came off of one shoe and 6 came off of the other. I might try that steel plate that oppy was talking about later.

Thanks for all the smart remarks, cautions and tips.  :thumb:

thats cool man. Im glad you brought all this up. I was just thinking this the other day because I was on a long ride with a fellow GSer here in RIchmond. I was just riding there thinking hmm what if I just stood up on the bike seat. So I did and i was amazed at how comfortable and stable I felt doing it. so then I said let me surf the street with my feet on the left side of the bike. SO I did it and wow it was such a rush, then I thought I wish I had metal plates on my shoes. so then I come on this post and I think im going to have to get a old pair of my tennis shoes and put some metal plates to them.

keep on ridin and keep on pushing the limits of the bike! if you want to do somthing do it, and never look back.

sure most of it is not safe, but when was riding a motorcycle safe in the first place? some of us live for danger and know we could die at any moment. but hey you can die at any moment flying a plane and not doing any tricks at all. might aswell be having some fun

For sure. Good luck with everything. My cousin's the captain (I think...) of a Striker batallion over there, and everyday I hope for this quagmire to end so you all can come home. Stay safe (or not, if you prefer the danger  ;) )

Yeah, I realize that my line about staying safe could be misconstrued. I mean be safe over there of course, but not necessarily on your bike; you clearly like to ride hard. shaZam!, that come out wrong again. You know what I mean...   Be safe. Period.

Dragging your feet to make sparks works a lot better when your idle is set to zero.

I dont know how you set your idle at zero but Im gonna take a wild guess you ment the RPM's

hmm. I still dont quite get the setting your idle as zero thing. ive never heard of it before .  explain why it would be better to throw sparks? not trying to be sarcastic or anything just trying to really understand what its all about.
