That is the most worthwhile thing I've ever seen someone do with a Porshe  :P
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Well at least you can drag the groceries home now.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

You see how far some 928 owners will go not to be mistaken for a 924?

They would rather be mistasken for an El Camino or Ranchero!

At least it isn't a 924 posing as an El Camino.

The motor is right there on a 914.  So would she put it in front???

It would just have to be a verrrrrry small pickup bed! I know some of the motor is in back, but isn't some of the motor in front, too?

Yeah.  All the 914's have twin motors.  That is why they are the most desirable to collectors.   Some people foolishly took out the second motor to put into the fronts of 911's in the 80's, so a true twin motor 914 is hard to come by.  I saw one go for like $80K at the Barrett Jackson Auction the other day.  A true work of art.

Waaaaaah!!! We had a stock 914.... but it was sold..... long ago.... and not for 80k!!  :(

del Sol....I was trying to think of what that mutilated Porsche looked like, and that's it! Thanks, Alpha...I couldn't wrap my brain around what the car was that it reminded me of!

:thumb:  At least they can haul some stuff now...  I mean, it's not like you can make that thing look any worse than stock.

Hey man, I actually LIKE the look of the 928 and 944s! The 924 not as much, and the 968 even less.

Yeah...  The bathtubs were cool...

But, they were made at the same time, by the same people as the link I posted...  That was really my point.

someone probably busted his hatch up and he just did that instead.  He sounds like the kind of guy who likes to piss people off.

I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth...

...928's aren't all that, anyway. Handle for poop, get bad mileage, cramped, etc.  951's, 44's, 31's and 24's were the worthy-of-mention watercoolers.  The 928 was supposed to be a GT...but for the cost you could get a 930...especially today.

Fan and previous owner of the searies one Type 1 and Type 2 944's.

Blueknyt

remember my father had an old VW squareback (thats stationwagon to most) that sposivly had a 914 engine in it.  must admit, it moved will with the old slushamatic in it.
