Who makes good sprockets for an 05 GS500F?

46 on the rear, eh?  That seems pretty drastic (especially with the 15 in the front) but I guess you know what you're doing.

15/39 = 0.3846
15/46 = 0.3261  (!!)

46 teeth? are you sure? I guess wheelies would be easier! If you are going down that road you may well need a longer chain, the stock item might not be long enough to accomodate an extra 10 teeth on the rear sprocket, even at minimum adjustment.

That would be pretty torquey, but based on these numbers you'd be redlining in 6th at 85mph, so I wouldn't take it on the highway.

they all do, it's a chunk of steel....

if ya want to pay more get AL or TI rear sprocket

take about an hour to do both

Watch your language please.  It's no one's job here to answer questions.  This is a conversation, and it's interesting.  I'm hoping Will will respond with exactly why he wants a 15/46.  Who's blasting sh1t other than you?

Haha...  I'll just assume you've had a bad day at work or something.  The fact that it's a really strange thing to do is a factor.   Alpha already answered the question.  Kerry started doing some analysis.  I tried to continue it a bit, smegheads that we are....

I answered the question with links to the same question which had already been answered numerous times. Not only did I do that, but I showed him what a simple search could turn up and what some of the results were. It wasn't like I just said, "search n00b!" and left it at that, I gave him a keyword that I searched for and a few of the top results.

I entertained the possibility that 46 was a typo.  But I didn't want to insult the man, so I just spelled out some stuff that he could respond to.  Like:

"Yes, I know!  I want to run a 15x46 ratio because...."[/list]
or

"Whoa - I'm glad you caught that!  I have no use for that kind of torque-enhancing, speed-limiting combo."[/list]

Anyway, even though the 46 hasn't been confirmed, I went and did some searching.  If I'm going to give an answer, it'll be more than "several companies sell and/or make sprockets". 

Sprocket Specialists has by far the largest selection of sizes that I have come across.  They make a 46-tooth rear sprocket that will fit the GS500.  See THIS PAGE.

JT Sprockets doesn't offer a 46-toother for the GS, but they do offer 39 and 41 and 49.  See THIS PAGE.  However, I haven't been able to find an online vendor that actually carries the non-stock (greater than 39-teeth) sizes. 

There are other sprocket manufacturers like Renthal and Sunstar, but I was unable to find spec sheets with listings for the GS500.
