Some Random thoughts

1) One week ago today a  coworker was involved in a wreck, WEAR YOUR HELMET!!!!!!!!! Obey traffic laws speeds double the posted limit and passing in no passing zones will get you eventually. He may never awaken from a coma and if he does he may never be the same again.

I am occasionaly prone to moments of too much throttle and not enough brain, no government should be able to force us to wear helmets but awareness of your mortallity is always a good thing. Having ridden for 21 years now I have seen how the advent of safety devices and cell phones has changed the driving style of the american public. We as a group drive worse than we ever have. A car hits something anymore its bumper cars with airbags inside the survivability of auto accidents has interrupted the effecient darwinian process of natural selection people can have multiple wrecks with out serious injury and survive to drive again. I love the cell phone as an invention and think that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, when I am in my truck I have a wireless blue tooth headset and voice dialing on my phone. I never have to hold the thing to my ears and dial numbers while driving. Just one of those things I wish everyone would do while driving a cage.

2) pay attention to the manual the fuel shutoff turns 180 degrees but only turn it 90 or your gonna be pushin your bike round he block

3) No matter how careful you are you might bump the floats, recheck your level before completely reassembling your bike after you work on the carbs.

Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Carbs like a still-air pocket to draw from.  If that can be formed without an airbox, cool.  :icon_mrgreen:

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Next random thought. GET RID OF ALL THAT FUEL VALVE CR&* I plumbed my tank straight to the carbs today and got rid of the stupid frame valve. Now she runs right.

If your floats are right thats no problem. I been riding since long before vacuum actuated fuel valves were being used. When you see em leaking fuel then its time to work on the carbs. If your bike wont sit there without leaking then your carb floats are crap. Oh yeah I did use an inline ball valve.
