Last night I am riding the virago back from the dude's place where I went to see his Honda matic - dont ask, the wife ... OK I want the wife to get on one.
OK OK - its getting coldish and sharply more humid - and 1/2 way home it freaking starts to rain. However the virago that's been missing and lacking power and popping and sounding wet fartish in the hot dry weather we have had - starts running like a champ ... and I am like thrilled ... running down the road - all of a sudden, it sill runs fine, but it starts sounding louder and more hissy ... I pull over and in the freaking blinding rain - see nothing wrong - except for the fat that when I rev ... the whole mofo motor moves all over the place - nothing new there it moved less than the vulcan I had - and the f*()ing thing sounds like that all the way home.
By now I am frozen and soaked - so I toss it in the driveway and get inside.
Today I look at it - and one freaking header bolt is gone, and the other is waaaaay loose ... and the noise isn't comming from the middle of the 2 where the carbs and intake manifolds are like I thought earlier - its the front cylinder exhaust pipe. Found a nut and bolted it back in tight ... and quiet as ever and ran like always. OK today was hotter and drier - so it ran like crap. Anyway ... its misbehaving just in the hottest of summers. I'm good wiht that.
