How can you ride and not get chicks?

I mean it's like a bad TV show.

Scene 1

I show up with my helmet:
Girl: "Oooohh, so you ride?"
Me: "Yeah, it's a blast."
Insert idle chit chat. (Just chat the bird up, look at the eyes, not the assets. Talk about HER not you.)
Girl: "You should take me for a ride sometime, here's my number."

At that point all you have to do is call.

OK I realized how vague the idle chit chat is.

For Sarah (a barista at a local coffee shop, and for you coffee snobs you know that a date with a barista is considered IMPOSSIBLE) she provided me with the info that she had a 125 dirt bike when she was younger.

Me: "So did you ever ride street?"
Her: "Once on the back of my B/F's friend's bike. It was scary." (Bad experience, this is a turning point, based on her you have to either go ahead or back off the bike thing, I went ahead.)
Me: "Let me guess, he rode like a jackass to try and impress you huh?"
Her: "Yeah, he started out slow and then went way too fast and wouldn't stop." (At this point sympathize, don't go with the "pound his head" thing, it's not cool)
Me: "That's horrible, what a jerk." (No more needs to be said. Don't lavish on crap or offer a ride now. That would be bad timing moron, regardless of wording.)
Then she realized I might want a drink. I chuckle along with her. (Be warm here, not sarcastic.)
Her: "So what kind of bike is it?" (At this point reading her body language is crucial. Leaned in means she's not interested in the bike, but you. Up straight means she's interested in the bike only, or just being curious. Sarah was leaning in.  :icon_mrgreen: )
Me: "Oh a GS500, it's fast enough. I didn't need a superbike just yet." (Right now you are dripping responsibility, don't f%$k it up and tell her about sitting on the tank and popping a wheelie.)

Then I started to walk off with my drink. One, two, three steps later...

Me: "If you ever decide it isn't so scary..." (Boom open ended. You can fall flat here or soar, it's her ball now. You've played it well but she's the judge...)
At which point she pressed the little feed button on the register and tore off a little sheet. BooYAH!

Ok, that's a little condensed, but the game is fun. It's like riding, even if the destination sucks the ride can still be a blast.

best line ever is...

girl: nice bike... take me for a ride
guy... clearly doesn't have a second helmet with him so he can't
guy: i'd love to, but don't have a second helmet.. give me your number and i'll give you a ride later
girl writes down number

score.. +100 points for smoothness.

Alright, no more sending money to the Pay Pal account. It's officially closed at this point. I threw in a whole dollar just because that's how bad I feel about this thing. With the extra dollar, the grand total comes to...(drumroll)... $1.15!!!

Dude...you didn't even give us TIME to send a donation. I was waiting until my next paycheck so that I could donate .30 rather than just .15! ???

I say re-open the foundation!

Fine fine! It's open again, but, seriously, don't donate more than $0.30. PayPal is roguegeek@mac.com and leave your forum name in the notes so I know who to credit with it (sorry Alpha). We still have a grand total of $1.15. An, give me your damn paypal address so I know where to foward the riches when we finally reach our goal! Keep the thoughts coming. :thumb:

Most likely.  I've figured out that I will never drop my bike until I get a brand new one.

And chances are, it'll happen on the first day of ownership. :dunno_white:

Wow guys!!! You seriously bring me to tears. The outpour of emotions in the form of currency have been, to say the least, overwhelming! We are up to...

(another drumroll)

$5.25!!!

Pandy, you have gone above and beyond with your donation, but please people... no more than $0.30. Alpha, thanx again! The cause is a worthy one and I'm sure when we all expire from this life and meet our maker, the great Lord Plogart of the Destrimoca System, he will see the great deeds we've done here and will be guarantied a place by his side.

An, you are in for a treat. That's fer serious. :thumb:

I'd donate $0.30 myself, but that'd be spoiling the whole "CHARITY" thing...

Bump

Come on people this is for a good cause!  A member of our family needs help, for just .30 cents you can turn An's life upside down and put a big smile on this face.  Let him know there's more to life than chat rooms and PWing on message boards.  The goal of this foundation can be reached but only with the help of our members.

So reach deep into your pockets and blow off the pocket lint and donate the .30 cents, so An can experiance (sp?)  what everyone else has sense we were 15.

I don't do paypal, but I can owe Pandy a dollar if she donates for me.  Please?

My WWSD (what would scratch do)  braclet is tingling.

$0.15 is a bit steep, though. I am not rich like Alpha, Pandy or Scratch.

I'll see what I can do.

Anyway how will you get AN out the house once you do scrounge up the cash?  Maybe you could order in? But what if it comes back?

I shiver at the thought of what $15 would buy.  Who knows, An might be able to keep it for the rest of his life. :thumb:

If he doesn't do what we intend for him to do with it, it'll be something he'll have to live with the rest of his cold lonely life. He doesn't want that now, does he? Plus, we'll probably ask him to take pics for proof.
