No kidding? thats cool man.  I like Poe...  and Luscious Jackson, Veruca Salt... heck I just love female vocals.

I've been playing 16 years, but I'm not very good... Just enough to get by, rhythm bluegrass style, with some Jerry Garcia thrown in.  Used to play the tenor sax, but haven't played in a few years.

I got a guitar for Christmas when I was 12 yrs old. (I'm 33 now.) I took lessons and played it for about a year. I still have my guitar, but haven't played it in many years. My 14 yr old nephew plays guitar now for a few years... he's great at it! He can hear a song once, pick up his guitar and be playing the whole song in no time.  :thumb: (He and his dad, my brother, also ride dirt bike/motorcycle... maybe it runs in the family, lol.)

I've been trying to play for a few years now....I can never get myself to sit down for any amount of time to play....Maybe if I could somehow combine riding and playing I would actually learn!  :o

I think I'm gonna take some classes at a community college or something so that I'm "forced" to learn lol.
2006 SV650 K6....Finally back up and running!!! Now let the mods flow!

Daniel Son made me want to learn classical.

Paganini's 5th Caprice.  That's a nice jam.  I learned it, but never could play it fast like Steve Vai.

Playing bass for 12 years, 4 of them in a band that practiced 2-3 times a week and averaged 3 shows a month...    As of a month ago, I'm on a vacation from bass.  :icon_confused:

Playing guitar for about 2 years.  I don't devote much time to it, so I play guitar like a bass player. :dunno_white:

Riding for about a year and a half... O0

Drums were my first love (all I wanted for my 13th birthday was a set of drums, and that's what I got!   :icon_mrgreen:). I played some guitar and piano in college. Now I play with myself. :P

I get blamed for EVERYTHING around here!
:woohoo:

I've played for about 10 years or so now I guess. We played a ton when I was in my mid-20's. We had about 6 guitars, two drum kits, 3 basses and a couple of keyboards in the basement of my old house. We would play almost every night.

Now I'm lucky if I play 20 minutes a week.
Although my wife bought me this cool little device for christmas last year calle the rockitt that is mini headphone amp, so that has me playing a little more.

I have a beat up old Fender Strat (Squire, but with nice tuning gears)
A pretty nice telecaster with the maple sunburst pattern, and my favorite which is a 1964 Gretsch Diamond Anniversry Hollow body electric that my father-in-law gave to me.

Oh and I have a Fender Jazz bass.

I've been playing (up until this last year or so...) since age 12/13.  Been trying to sell a Marshall amp head I have had for a while now, along with some other stuff, but I won't spam up the board.

Does bass count? Almost 10 years on bass. My fiancee is also a hardcore rider, she actually turned me on to it and she played Cello...

Been riding for about 6 years now, and playing for almost 11 years now. I was around thirteen when my dad handed down his prized possesion to me, a 1978 Fender Telecaster Custom:

LPC2104

You guys have some nice guitars....especially love that old tele.  I've got a bunch but my favorite is a 1960 Les Paul Classic reissue I got in 1998.

tpgpz

I play more in the winter than in the summer...guess that is because I can't ride...anyway, been playing for about 10 years and riding for about 20...seems like they are the only two things that let me really clear my head.  Does that make any sense to anyone?  Basically the only two things that I can get lost in and just forget about everything else.

I am sure someone will have some fun with this post, but gonna submit it anyway... :)

Yep, know exactly what you mean.  Its funny.... nothing clears my head better than firing a handgun.  Not exactly sure why.

Yeah...  I know the handgun thing...  I have a list of things to clear my head...  If one doesn't work, I try another and another until something does the job. :cookoo:

Old Mr. Wilson

I now play a Taylor Big Baby since my son threw it in the trash can. I can make C, F, and G, and I'm working on "A" with Casi's proper instruction. Maybe one day I'll be able to strum a song.
Taxes are Good. Millions that have been on Welfare for the last 30 years are depending on you. Also Millions that are coming over the border each year are depending on YOU.
Also taxes will fix our shitty schools and roads that have been broken for 40+ years.

You really don't get it do you???
