If any of you on here are also car enthusiasts then check this out.

This is on a stock 99 svt contour at 5psi (final numbers at 7psi will be out soon but the current injectors were coming close to maxing out at 5psi).  WHP and torque N/A is normally in the high 160s and 150s respectively.
The members that are building the kit should be releasing it within the next month with a projected price of below 3k.  I can't wait to get my hands on one of these to add to my CSVT!

are you going to be running a stand alone system?

no real need to...not for something as modest as 5lbs.

Holy cow, those are some numbers!  I have a duratec engine in my Taurus so I know what they're capable of with a little help, but shaZam! that's impressive.

On the 3L duratech such as what is in the taurus the numbers are even more impressive.  At 9-10psi similar setups put down around 350hp at the wheels and nearly 400ft-lbs of torque.  Some have pushed similar setups to well over 400whp on an internally stock 3L duratech.

The tuning will be handled through an SCT XCAL2 with expertise from a member on the CEG.

How reliable is that setup though?  9-10psi is quite a bit for most engines.

true. but would be nice if he ever wanted to go any further with the upgrades.

Megasquirt is a nice system.

There is no need for anything such as Megasquirt.  With good tuning software such as that in the SCT system you can simply do all tuning through rewriting the factory box.  Factor in some good dyno time with a true wideband setup and you are good to go.

The setup is extremely reliable.  The one that I was speaking of which has 400+ whp has been at levels over 300whp for years even as a daily driver.  I believe that the bone stock 3L duratechs have been proven reliable to around 15psi iirc.

Baco99 is also a CEG member and can attest to these statements if need be.  Or, just do some browsing around on contour.org/ceg-vb and you will find everything that you need to know on this.

I figured that I would post a slight correction here.  The rpm setup on the dyno was off ans so the power calculations were also off.  The true numbers are 237whp and 259wtq.  A little lower on torque but still impressive all things considered.

Guess Im just used to older turbo cars. newer cars have way more potential with thier stock systems than the older ones.

take for example a 83 245 GLT.  it uses somthing called K-JET, its not really computer controled. you can trick the system by grounding out the o2 sensor then upping the boost with an external controler. But if you really want to get into good tuning you wire a megasquirt system or any stand alone system really and go from there.

BOOOOOOOST is awesome :) congrats hope it all works out

Who built the setup for you?  Was everything custom made, the headers and the lot?  How difficult was the install?  This has really piqued my interest.

Start with the following link and it will tell you everything that you need to know.

The numbers are not from my car but from the test mule.  I won't have personal numbers till the kits are formally up for sale.  The makers are extremely attentive to detail so the tuning will be near perfect before they are offered.
