It looks like it's coming along pretty welll but I'm not feeling that front wheel gap too much.  I love the look most faired sports have...where it seems like the bike is almost swallowing the front wheel:

A meaner front end...kat or gsxr or something...might tighten it all up some.  Overall looks slick, though.

I totaly agree with you there! I did lower the front end to get that look you are talking about. But because of the higher rear end the sv shock results in, it was a pain to ride, with to much weight on the front wheel. Maybe if i try to lower the rear end to, it may work.  :dunno_white: Still a USD fork would be neat, but that will be later on, if ever.

Btw, that MV is one of the badest bikes ever built!

yeah personally I would cut some longer links and drop both ends of the bike...that would help close it up.  Keep in mind that you're fighting not just geometry, but a relatively dainty fairing as well.  You won't be able to cure it completely...just close it a little.

Well, this bike is almost done. Only some stickers and a little smaller fixes to make. And yeah, i finally choose the black color.  The paint is still a little rough, but i´m satisfied with the result, tho i did paint it in my garage  :o. A little polish will do the trick i guess.

So tell me what you think?

That´s a 50cc moped. Not mine. Id would be nice to have one bike for each purpose. 1 supersport, 1 touring, 1 supermotard and so on.. the only problem is the thing they call MONEY!

BTW, ordered stickers yesterday, also bought indicators. More pics to come when i´m finished.  :thumb:

Dude, it looks awesome, the only thing missing is a nice USD front end.  A USD front end would really clean it up and make it look a little less akward, the tiny GS forks just look a little out of place in those fairings.   You can probably find a Duc M6xx, or a 750 sport front end pretty cheap, people like to upgrade them to superbike FE's a lot.

I will surtenly go for it, if a compleate USD front end with front wheel, brakes and clipons comes up for the right price.  :thumb: Until then i´ll just go for a set of progressive springs to stiffen it up a bit.  :icon_mrgreen:

Miss my '07 GS500e :/

Ok, after some looking on the sideshot of the bike and comparing it to the real Ducati 748, i finally decided that the whole fairing package needs to move a little bit forward and down.  :oActually it´s not so much work as it sounds, just a few mountings which need to be modified a bit. Anayway, it should be worth it in the end.  :thumb:

Amazing job. Even if you don't move the fairings, it is one unique, awesome motorcycle. Well-done!

makenzie71

I can't wait to see it after you push the fairings down and out a bit...she'll look sick.

kml.krk

did you finally move the fairings down and to the front??
if yes please share some pictures, if no good luck and share the pics after you're done  :thumb:

Is that exhaust bend and flange done custom or from another bike? Im diggin it. I hope the cutouts on the fairings for the side covers dont need too much massaging when you move  'em up and down.  But excellent job so far... Like ya boy Ronald McDonald says :thumb: "I'M LOVIN IT"
