Columbus, nice. My folks live in Dublin, I'm down in Cincinnati for school. Looks like we're going to have some nice weather Saturday. I'm going riding!

I am bluerider, am 59 yrs old and live in the Denver, CO area.  Haven't been riding for about 20 years, but am happy to get back into riding with a blue&white 2008 GS500F. NEW! and a heck of a good deal.  I have only ridden about 25 miles, but will be using it for a daily commuter as the weather warms.

I think I'm the proud new owner of an 01 with 18k on it.  I haven't even seen it yet but I had my 62" Mitsu and polk theatre speakers on CraigsList for trade and someone called and wants to trade the 01 GS and an 01 KLR250 with 10k.... seems like a deal to me.  I can use the GS for my run around and the KLR for some fire road exploration...or just sell it.  I've always wanted a GS.  I like air cooled, fourstrokes.  Me and radiators don't get along so very much.

I'm a married mom living in Berkeley feeling guilty and selfish because I just bought a 2006 GS500F and my husband and daughter did not want me to.  I used to ride 30 years ago and by chance got on a Suzuki the other day.  I was astonished by how much joy I felt riding it.  My youngest is 17 and I'm 55.  I figure I'm done with the dutiful part of my life and can now start the FUN part.  I also want to make beer, but no drinking and riding.. (I used to back in the 70's but the world is a different place)

Hi i'm 26 and in central PA.  My boyfriend got me my first bike for my birthday, 1990 E fixer-upper.  I'm in the processor of putting her back together, but I'm fairly confident it was just the starter.  Once I get a new gasket we'll know more!  I took the MSF course 2 years ago, but just finally got my first bike.  Seems like a cool site. Hope to meet lots of you!

19-year-old male, lived in Southern California my whole life.  Currently going to school and working (at Disneyland, hooray  ).  Just starting to get into fixing my own bike, and in the process of taking a basics of motorcycle repair class.  Fun times.

38YO old fart in Mesa, AZ.  My bike is a blue/white 2007 F model I bought new back in July of 2008 at Extreme Suzuki in Scottsdale.   I'm an offroader at heart and own/maintain two rock crawling Nissans that I've poured entirely too much money into, as well as a pretty nice Y2K Z28 Camaro, but when gas prices were going nuts last year, I thought it was time to learn to ride, so I took an MSF course and bought a new bike 4 days later!   I use it mostly for commuting on the fun Phoenix metro freeways about 44 miles a day and just rolled past 6,000 miles.

I'm not sure why I took so long to go hunting for a forum, but here I am.  I've been doing some reading and I'm surprised there's this many GS owners here.  I'm sure I'll be posting up questions as some of the maintenance items come due.

Hello everyone!  I'm 17 year old Pavi from southwestern PA. 

Hey Pavi, what part of town are you from? I live in Bloomfield, a couple miles east of downtown.

I used to be on here years ago, so I'm not really new, but after my girlfriends(now my wife)  bike started acting weird, stopped working, and then has sat in her parents shed for at least 3 years now I just recently decided we're going to bring it over to our house to see if I can get it working again. I'm not completely sure what's wrong with it, and I don't know much about engines at all, but we have the service manual. I'm gonna start with the carburetors, see if the jets are the right size, and I guess timing, valves, spark plugs, new oil and a fresh battery,
and whatever else I can get to and hopefully I don't just destroy the thing.

Ooh, and I'm Josh, 25, and from Pittsburgh PA(plus the GS actually belongs to Heather, 23)
