New to the forum.   46 Years Old and From Bucks County, PA (New Hope / Solebury).

Been about 16 years since I've ridden. I recently came across a Nice, Naked, 1995, 7,000 mile, GS500e and figured it would be the perfect little bike to start riding again. (Learned on a 86' GS450 - Like I would imagine many of us did back in that time period!)

Was a bit reluctant to "hop  back on a 900 +" after so much time away, and got a little nostalgic when a ran across this 550e.  The deal was fantastic and I'm having a ball again (but taking it slow as I can see the difference in my reaction time after all these years).  Not "too proud" to have signed up for the MSF classes again too!

Glad I found the forum.

Ps.  Xavier,  My wife and I were just in Barcelona back in November for a week. (We picked up a cruise there)  BEAUTIFUL !

Hi guys

I'm new to the forum as well. I'm 30, moved from Europe straight to California and I'm loving it here. Lane splitting/sharing is legal, and the weather is good for riding all year long.

My dad had multiple bikes in his life (did some speedway racing in 70's). I've been riding friends' bikes sometimes ever since I got a license in 2000 but I always wanted one of my own. It finally happened a year ago and the GS500F (2006) became my first 2-wheeled love.

After fixing a few minor things now I'm planning to change the front springs, do some electrical work (12V output for chargers, LEDs for my indicator lights), maybe do something with the scratched fairings/windshield (previous owners have dropped it, probably multiple times).

So far it's riding great and I'm learning more and more. Baby steps.

If there is anybody here from around San Francisco, maybe somebody would be down for a ride along the coast to Santa Cruz this summer?

Hi everybody

I'm also looking forward to buying my first bike and GS500 is my first choice. The abundance of information and friendliness of this forum definitely made this decision easier.

I'll post a picture when I finally buy it!
