Andrew, 22, bought a non running 2002 gs500 21kmiles and then bought another 2002 gs500 with 14k miles. I really wanted to get a gs500 because of its simplicity and mods. I also ride a 04 gsxr1000. I am from Los Angeles Ca

Freestyla

Travis from Melbourne, Australia.  Own a 2008 GS500 for just on a month now, just clicked over 5000km's and done 1500km's since purchase.
Service history obtained, genuine km's and bike is running well.
Threw in some Motul 5100, Iridium spark plugs, K&N Oil & Air filter, Red LED lights on the speedo/tacho... this bike is so damn easy and fun to work on.
Couldn't have found a better bike to learn on, great all rounder for city, suburb and hwy riding.

I'm Eric, I'm 25 years old guy living in Belgium and I've been riding motorcycles for about 7 years now.
I've had to stop riding for 3 years because I was in a small accident, so I couldn't afford it anymore for a while.

Now I'm back though, I bought a second hand '04 GS500 and I love it already!

I want to learn more about the inner workings of motorcycles and how to fix problems myself, I've ridden a few bikes but I've never delved deeper into maintenance.

Cheers!

I just bought an '06 GS500F with 387 miles as my first bike and have put on almost 1000 miles in the last few weeks. Changed the oil, got new tires, and will be replacing the brake/fuel lines soon!

Hi everyone!

Just got my first GS500F last week! So far it's a really cool bike. Below is photo after I picked it up. 10k on the dial. Went under the knife as soon I got hit home to clean her up. Turning her into an E because of a bit of damage to the fairings (hard to see from that photo)! I'm from Pittsburgh, btw!

Hopefully, by the end of next week she will have:
New brake lines.
Rebuilt calipers and master cylinder
Headlight mounted
New back tire
Stove polished exhaust
And more!

1973 Honda CB350 (in progress)
1973 Honda CB175 (parts bike)
1971 Honda CL175 (3 years in progress. Really just a joke by now...)

Hey guys,

Name's David, I'm 22 and living in East Texas right now. I got my AAS game and simulation programming degree last December, now I'm working on an AS computer science degree. My parents gave me genes from both ends of the spectrum; my mom is the reason I enjoy technology, and my dad's mechanical skills come in handy.

As for my motorcycles, I started this year on an '05 Rebel 250 and within a few months, moved up to my '02 GS500. I recently found out the hard way that I had a loose oil drain plug while riding, so this summer I've been learning heaps about the GS500 while tearing it down. I hope to get him running again before classes start, and to mod a few things here and there afterwards.

Hoping to meet a few great people here. :)
My bikes:

Terra - '02 GS500

Hello everyone, I'm Erron, I'm 38 and from Haysville, Kansas. I have a black 2009 500FH that I got in May last year. This is my first bike and have been very pleased with it so far.

KungFuActionGrip

my girl friend just completed the basic riding course.  she was excited to officially be a licensed rider.  she has ridden dirt bikes and atvs.  she selected the gs500f.  she loves the color, seat height, weight, power and of course price.

I have been riding for three years.  I decided to go half on the bike with her.  I have a v-star 650 that we two up ride when we want to relax and ride to the beach.

she has the gs because she likes sport bikes more than cruisers.  I love the bike too.  the ride is comfortable.  I was very surprised.  I have only ridden cruisers, and the gs is great.

we are happy to be part of the gs world of riders.

Wow, nice Supra!

About 8 years ago, my brother sold his.  He had picked it up from a junk yard and got we got it to roar.  Spent all summer working on it... many headaches and long garage nights.   It was his first car.  He needed money for college, so he ended up cleaning it up and selling it.  Man, that was a sweet car... would do the same again and keep it, if we could find one.  The person who bought it drove 9 hours one way to get it!
