Bars....

I stopped by one of the local dealers today to get some superbike bars but they didn't have any in stock...

So I bent my own "drag bar" today after work out of some 7/8ths stainless steel tubing scrap we had laying around (We do custom canvas work and bend Frames so we have plenty of scrap stainless tubing).

I cut it to 30 inches long...marked the center and eyeballed about how far to start the bender ( conduit bender ). I then Eyeballed the other side and bent it -- which was more fun to bend since the first bend was already done on the other side. Luckily I got the center width almost perfect from memory..(LUCKY GUESS!).

With one adjustment tweak I think I have them pretty evenly bent ( likely within a degree or so)- and I even got the bends on the same plane... I'll figure out the control mounts and cut the excess off the ends of the bar then..  
It'll be a few weeks before any road test happens- but I've got bars...and it only cost me about 5 minutes time...

Drag bars anyone?
