Tank and Tails wanted...(fender too?)

Basically I need a whole "Body Kit" ... (1991 Blue would be great...even just the tails ...just need to be whole and in fair shape ( scratches expected and perfectly acceptable.)

Anyone have a set to sell? Need any parts in Trade etc?

I guess I wasn't thinking about motorcycles too much back in the early 90's.  It's an attractive bike!  How do you like it?

I like them ( I have two...the other one is super low miles- suffered a new rider....so I'm fixing it..wouldn't make it a first bike- not as nimble as a GS500 for sure--- ).  Parts are harder  to come by and almost zero aftermarket now...hey 14-15 years since they were sold in the USA- so...

A replacement exhaust (which is imported )  will cost me almost 600$ now...(more than I paid for either bike). Intruder 800 exhaust header will bolt up but they are different lengths than the VX's.  But you can use the headers to make your own system... (Time to learn to Tig weld..)
It also shares some parts with the GS 500e.


Sold 90-93 in the US....Sold til 98 in the rest of the world. It's the old Intruder 800 motor.  Fun V twin to ride- sound good ( Only 5 damn gears tho!) . You don't have to rev the crap out of em to ride ( Shift by 5k or so - after that it's making noise and wasting gas...Hmmm [[Insert HD dig here...]]).  They are fairly heavy... great all around bike- but don't excel at any one thing (was designed by Suzuki in America...). It's a bigg(ish) bike compared to the GS... (fits me great and I'm a Big guy..).
If you short shift them ( and you CAN!) you can get REALLY good mileage...unless you succumb to the exhaust sound and want to rev the motor up through the gears more...

Suspension is a little soft (  not a race bike...) but that can be fixed front and rear easily..( progressive springs ( and shocks if you want..)and Hagon Shocks )

I wish they would make a newer version of it...(VX1400! hehehe  No a 1400 motor wont fit in it...)-- I'd settle for a 6th gear tho...

is this for a gs?

i have a 91 blue; not using the plastics on the tail. I have both sides and that middle piece (still using the front fender+tank until i find black)

only problem; right side has a couple of the plastic pegs missing so it was only held on by the bolts.

The VX800.... I love the looks. I have a 1986 Intruder with the 700cc engine. I'm a big fan of the "standard motorcycle". I like the seating position better than the "cruiser" or "sport" seating position. Add that wonderful torque and sound of the V twin, WOW.

I'm searching for one right now.
