Would this fit?

No, that would not fit correctly because the mounting tabs are not the same. That is also only a straight pipe with no baffles (meaning it is not a muffler) and it will be obnoxiously loud. Maybe an R6 with an inline 4 cylinder could pull it off but that would sound nasty on a twin. Just look for a slip on muffler and you will be set.

Alrighty then, thanks for reply. If anyone happens to have an exhaust they want to sell that sounds badass, drop me a PM.

Look for an Akrapovic or Scorpion shorty slip on... even a STOCK GSXR exhaust would look and sound better than the GS.

I was looking into something like these:

Exhausts don't sound like anything just sitting there...

If you hook it up to a GS, it'll sound like a parallel twin.  A louder or quieter parallel twin, depending on the exhaust, but your bike will not sound like an I-4 or V-twin.  Just sayin'.   :icon_mrgreen:

Can someone explain to me why it simply must sound "badass" or "loud" or "low" or whatever.  Is it simply an extension of visual appeal? Would someone want an exhaust can that sounded REALLY good even if it reduced power output?

Why are you asking that hypothetically?     People do mods all the time that reduce performance.

UO Renn

So will that one fit or not?

Yes. The way I see it, there are only two categories of mods; either you're changing some compromise that the designer made to skew things one way or the other (like exchanging some power for fuel economy) or you're removing some constraint the designers were required to adhere to (like removing emissions systems). Either way, you're basically working under the assumption that you've figured something out that the designer of the thing didn't. For a lot of vehicles, I don't believe that is really realistic.

Well if someone has something constructive to add (and hopefully on topic) drop me a PM. Thx.

Roadstergal

Constructive?  You can spend all of the money you want on an exhaust, but a slip-on won't keep it from sounding like a lawnmower.  Just a louder lawnmower.  "The truth hurts, Hapsburg.  Sure, not as much as jumping onto a bicycle with the seat missing, but it hurts."

I only like the exhaust that improve the performance...I could give two shits less about the sound.  Hell at 75-80mph  I cant hear shaZam! anyways.  :thumb:
