Front mud flaps?

Has anyone used a front mud flap on the back of the front fender?  I see there are holes there and I was wondering if this would help my newly painted exhaust last a little longer since it would cut down on road debris hitting the pipes.  Also where can I get them?  Is there any other sites out the besides Bike Bandit and Dennis Kirk?

They came on the GS thru 2000 I think.  My 97 had one but my 02 doesn't.  You can get an oem flap from Suzuki or make one.  Parts fiches:
