Ok, I've finally managed to clear everything out of my garage.  All that is left is a F-16 sport tinted windscreen in very good condition.  If you need a picture there are some on ebay and I even think the wiki has one too.  Anyway I'll even pay shipping too if it is in the continental US.

There are only 2 stipulations.

The first is that this shield will go to whoever gives me the best reason that they should have it.  Hopefully these are funny too, because tomorrow at this time I'll have my wife decide who the winner is.

The second stipulation is that the winner has to find something...no matter how cheap...something...to offer up to someone else.  Heck, I don't care if it is a My Little Pony keychain, you have to offer up something if you win.

That's it, hope this gets the junkyard going, and let the stories begin!

I know this is a boring reason, but I actually really wanted to buy that exact windshield, but I didn't because I'm a poor college student. I also have an open face helmet, so anything to break up the wind and cause less bugs in my eyes is a happy thought. I will offer up my extra cylinder head for someone that has a cracked one or for whatever reason needs one.

My dog has been doing her business in a lot of inappropriate places. I have an email I sent to a friend if you're more interested. Out of all the places she went, the worst one was on my only bike jacket,an insulated leather Power Trip jacket. I tried to clean it numerous times but neither the smell nor the stain will come out. As of now, I'm using a cheap leather jacket never intended to be used on a bike. The thickness is somewhere in the nanometer range. The price of a new jacket is out of my range so I'm thinking about wearing a poncho under the Power Trip. Kind of like a big rubber glove. I hope somebody has a laugh at my expense but at the time I was PISSED!!!  I'm looking at ways to keep the chill off. A windshield on my naked GS would help a lot. I don't have any parts except stock jets so I offer gsTwin decals for the first seven or so people.

Once upon a time i had an f16 windshield, and used it every day.
The motorcycle was sold, and the shield went away.
I wont need this i said, you take it without pay.
A GS on craigslist? why not, Okay!
No windshield for me now, damnit thats ghey.

Weston i will match your poverty.... and college.. and moto goodies..  and raise you a little puppy keychain  :woohoo:

Ok I don't need the windscreen, because i like the look without it

But if I were going to give you a reason it would be this:

I really need that windscreen because I'm tired of being blown.

There. I said it.

I NEED this fairing to help keep the cold fall/winter air from reaching my body (living in Canada has it's dark side), to keep the messy bugs that magically appear each spring from committing suicide on my face shield, to hide behind when trying to evade the fuzz after riding like a holigan, to give my bike the ultimate in aerodynamics to drastically improve fuel mileage and lastly, to make my bike look as cool as I do already. Oh yah......!

Weston

I feel as though I have been one upped. So i will add more. I live in North Dakota which is pretty much a cold place to live. My naked bike often struggles with wind resistance. My helmet has no face shield, so bugs and rocks are the ouchies. A nice dark tinted windshield would perfectly complement my Kubota orange paint.  :icon_mrgreen: Also my guages are very sun-faded from previous owner neglect and a windshield would cover that right up.

xncnc: i will match your poverty.... and college.. and moto goodies..  and though I cannot match your keychain, i will raise you my old econ text book as indicated in the provided picture.

Farakin

This is a story about a Praying Mantis named Gary. The names have been changed to protect the stories integrity.

Gary had a pretty rough life, girls weren't interested in him at all and he wasn't that smart.  Over the course of several years Gary had about 0 opportunities to mate.  He heard all the stories about how you really don't want to, the chicks were just going to use him for a free meal afterward, etc., but Gary was adamant on getting it done.

So after a flirtatious encounter and a online relationship through Adult Friend Finder Gary finally had his chance.  A date was set and Gary was pretty excited.  Gary gussied himself up and took off to meet his sex date partner.

As Gary was on his way he started crossing a 3 lane road in the middle of Arizona not really paying attention at all to traffic.  What Gary didn't realize is that I with my newly purchased and cleaned up nekid GS was screaming down the road just barely above the speed limit /wink.

As Gary heard a whining rumble he looked up at the last second to see a grinning Farakin with no helmet on barreling toward him.  The last thing that went through Gary's mind as he hit Farakin in the mouth (yeah I ate the damn thing, and it broke my shades too) was his ass.

If I had a windscreen Gary would have gotten laid.

I too am a broke college student and would appreciate the benefits of a windshield on my daily 75  mile (round trip) commute to school.

It would also be nice to have on the weekends when I routinely take long trips(uphill both ways in the snow) to various orphanages to mentor the poor little orphan children.

Lately it has been too cold and windy for me to make my weekly pilgrimages and I feel terrible that these underprivileged children have to suffer just because I can't afford a new windshield.

Also, the free item I give away may or may not be a Ferrari.

So, unless you hate children (and Ferrari's) it would seem your choice is clear.

My wife really had a good time deciding.  She probably spent 15 minutes on it and she was taking it seriously!  Anyway, It was the economics book that pushed it over the top.  you must be desparate if you have to give away your economics book.

Weston, pm me with where you want it sent.  I'll take care of shipping.

Yessssss!!!!!!!  :woohoo: I was actually just about to raise xncnc a Saturday in a frigid garage performing head surgery on my poor GS. Surely this will boost her spirits and she will have a full recovery.

Thanks alot! I really appreciate it.

after bailing out Wall Street, AIG, etc, etc, i'm a little short on cash right now, BUT when my stimulus check comes in i'll be more than able to pay you back for this windshield, that is unless something else comes up. now that i think of it my "dog polisher" is starting to go out, and i'm a couple of payments behind on my ballet lessons-so maybe it WILL be a while before i'm not so, er, uh, financially embarrased, yeah that's it.
