I am not sure but when i got my bike brand new.. i think i could move the bike around EASILY just by pressing the clutch in when the engine is off, regardless of what gear it is.. Now i just started to notice that  on whatever gear with the bike off, i have to struggle to move the bike. Its almost as if i halfway pushed the clutch in, even when i have fully pulled it to the handlebar.  i have to basically put it in neutral in order to move the bike around freely.

is this normal?

its has 15k on spedometer new july 08.

Have you adjusted the cable?  It stretches over time.

My bike is doing the same thing at the moment. It wasn't a week ago, but then I messed with the clutch cable and it's doing it again, so I need to adjust it before I get the bike out again. Just try tightening up the clutch cable. You should also just put the bike in neutral when you park it. No real reason to leave it in gear when it's not running, unless you're parking it on a hill.

My bike was also revving high when I'd pull in the clutch and coast to a stop sign, until I actually stopped. I think it was the same problem. Even with the clutch pulled in, the spinning back wheel was spinning the clutch with it and wouldn't let the engine back down to idle. Even if you have a schedule maintenance coming up I'd still try to adjust it yourself, it wouldn't be too good for the engine if you were always shifting with the clutch half engaged. Either twist the barrel adjuster on the clutch lever out, until it feels better, or else follow the cable down to the left side of your engine and twist it out there, where there's a lot more adjust ability. It's the cable that screws into the engine case vertically right above the shift lever you press with your toes.

I have heard stories of bikes being accidentally pushed off of their stands by leaving it in neutral.  Putting it in gear while parked is our "parking brake".
