ok! I've got 10 sets!  :thumb:  The mounting tabs are twice as thick, the welds are awesome, and it's a solid bar instead of hollow. These should last forever.

Mounted them all up to make sure they fit, and we're good to go.

I'm going to complete the kit by finding the necessary hardware tomorrow and I'll make a FS thread for them this weekend.

Hi ecpreston,
Those look great, man.
So how much are you charging for a set? :)

You had solid bar bent for this? So the wear surface is the asphault, then  :)

What do they weigh?

I might be interested in some of these, I'll have to wait until you put up the listing to see how much they're gonna cost. I'm fine without them at the moment, but after I spend the winter cleaning up and repainting the GS, I wouldn't mind a pair incase Heather decided she want to start riding it again, plus they look like they could make for a comfortable cruising foot rest!

yeah, the guy is used to working with solid I guess, so that's what we did. And yes, they should take a few falls.  ;)  They do weigh a little more of course, maybe a pound each? So they'll not only protect the bike when you fall, the extra two pounds will slow you down a little and make you less likely to fall!  :thumb:

nah, not really. I've tried to get my feet on my previous ones without much success, and these are pretty much the same. They don't stick way off the case. Maybe we could make a "cruiser" version in the future.

Quote from: gregvhen on December 11, 2009, 12:39:53 PMare these gonna require a longer engine mount bolt?
Yes. The stock top one you can re-use on the bottom. And I ordered some 11 inch long ones for the top (couldn't find them locally). Unfortunately I was unable to find a M10x1.25 bolt (what the stock ones are) that long, so the replacement one will be a less fancy 3/8ths inch thread. MC enterprises made the same compromise. However, it still fits a 14mm wrench like the stock one, and I found a nice lock nut that's similar to the stock one and some washers to make it complete.
