put soapy water in the sprayer and spray it on the area to be decaled. this way you will be able to shift the decal around before it actually sticks to the surface.
after you're happy with the position, use dry cotton cloth or paper towel to squeeze any air bubbles and water from underneath the decal.

good luck

then spray clear coat on top of it so that it stays in there forever.

i find taping them in place and stepping back for a look is a good idea before sticking them.  I unlike the others dont like using soapy water when doing this because i find that they move around more then i like so i tape in place make sure its where i like and then with leaving one end still taped i will lift the rest and remove the backing paper and then with a credit card workmy way from the taped end until it is fully in place making sure not to get air bubbles in it. if you get a small air bubble you can poak it with a needle orsmall knife blade and work the air out. I used to do graphics and decals on everything.  I have my own cutter.
