quick clutch question

with the bike up on the centerstand and the clutch pulled all the way in in firstgear the rear tire moves just a bit when the engine is running.  someone said this was normal?

You be right there, its normal. Mine does it too. I asked on here about it and everyone said it was alright, something to do with it being a wet clutch, and the oil moving in the clutch, and in turn moving the rear wheel.

Ducatis and cars have dry clutches. That means they are designed with clutch outside the engine, away from oil spashing around. It requires extra seal to keep oil on the wet side and a extra removable cover to accessthe clutch without opening engine up.

Don't know why all bikes don't go dry. Its gives slightly more RWHP than wet. I'd pay for extra seal and extra clutch cover on any bike especially used bike.

True, but the oil bath does have a benefit. it keeps the clutch cool (relatively) during hard launches.
