Lookin for a cheap 500 near St. Louis

I posted here cause more people see it here than in the for sale/wanted.

anyway my friend is lookin for a entry bike like a gs500 or ninja 250, 500. something sporty style though. anything 1000 or under is considered. even if it needs work.

I wouldn't mind finding an affordable 500 either, I'm currently riding a Ninja 250. You also might keep looking in the St. Louis and SE MO craigslist sites as there's been a few listed lately, some newer and more expensive.
