nice,which brand are those?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261035305083#ht_1052wt_1139

huh.
"Coyotemoto.com"

wonder why they are so cheap?
http://coyotemoto.com/products.asp?prodid=60&depid=1
says
"The bobbins are made from Acetal Copolymer and the fittings are HE30 aluminum and stainless steel. All bolts are de-embrittled to bend rather than snap in the event of a crash"

wonder how that compares to R&G, etc?

Acetal Copolymer is Delrin, basically, pretty strong and low friction. HE30 aluminum is 6082, which means not a lot since we don't know anything about how it was heat treated. Sounds like probably not terrible quality.

Well finally sorted my valve clearances out, gave the chain a good seeing to, dropped the oil, and bathed it up real good ready for its run tommorow
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Got Thumper out and took him for a ride. What a difference riding a 1973 TS185 2 stroke.

It was sunny so I rode Phenix to the gym. Couple bikers there never saw him before. They were very impressed with him - like a show room new bike! One thought the Motad exhaust made him sound like a Ducati! I'm really loving the Motad. Deeper sound and still not obnoxiously loud.

Then filled up Phenix with a couple gallons of good bike food. Hope for sun Saturday to take him for a nice long ride on some twisties.

His hanging idle is gone. I might have been right in that after assembling everything, some carb parts were a little sticky or binding. After being used for a month, everything has settled in and now all fits together and runs great. Maybe it was a little organ rejection from all the transplanted parts?

PS: Wow! the board is dead. Is everyone doing a late night ride? Only 4 other people on right now.

Finished the Paint!  Then rode her again for the first time in a few weeks.

Very nice!  Dont see that shade of blue much, but it looks great, especially with the white rims

Trimmed my mud flap, and lowered my license plate an inch.

And finished my retrofit. :D

BTW. Love bombsquad83's blue with white wheels scheme.  That looks beautiful.

I pity those who couldn't go with us today. A surprise came before the ride. We heard a bike in the alley and thought someone was going with us. No - it was my neighbor who just bought a CBR! He had to buy a jacket and stuff today but will join us on another Vashon ride on the 23rd. He bought it 2 days ago and passed his MSF test a week ago. A new associate member of the West Seattle GS500 Club!

Yep - this is reason enough to have a bike.

Ryan and his CBR - our newest member of the West Seattle GS500 Club (And in Seattle tradition, we do not discriminate against any brand of bike. You got a bike - you're one of us!) Suzi, Junior, Phenix, Trey and Thumper have a new neighbor friend!

Was that hard? I always thought this would be one of the most useful things to do to my bike! I'm really lazy when it comes to charging my phone because I tend to bring it to bed with me  :embarassed:

Considering they offer a 100% lifetime guaranteed replacement if damaged they cannot be that bad now can they? :thumb:
