Yesterday I rode it 50 miles up to my brother's place. An hour of riding....two hours of dead stopped traffic. At one point, I shut the bike off, set it on the side stand, and walked away from it.....in the middle of a major highway. No reason to make an air cooled bike idle for 20 minutes at a time, and at the same time, why not stretch the legs a little?

Swapped out the fuel petcock and all the 5/16" fuel lines with clear hose (rated for fuel).

My idle was fine but when I would throttle it, it would stumble with the switch in the ON position. In PRI it would run fine. Glad I got some spare parts!

Where did you pick up the clear fuel hose? I'm gonna replace mine too and figured I'd go clear this time.

For my GS, I threw on some Bikemaster turn signals as shown in this thread:

I searched all the local bike shops and small engine shops locally and no one had it although they could order it.

Hell, I can do that, and I did.

Ebay #230857634573 - 3ft for $15. I cut it in half and was long enough for each line from the tank to the petcock. I added worm clamps on each end also

Do you think there would be enough to go from the frame petcock to the carb as well?

Nope, not with 3 feet. I had a few inches I could have cut off (but didnt) but theres not enough for the petcock to the carb. 4ft would do though.

I'd be interested in seeing them, as my right and side has cracked where it was dropped. The flush mounts should hide the small crack. You got a link to the site mate?

Put on bar-end mirrors, and tightened and lubed the chain.

Changed a string on one of my guitars...

On the way out the door to buy said string I blew a kiss to me bike.  :icon_mrgreen:

This morning I finished up the 3rd re-jet, K&N drop-in, -1 front sprocket and just got back from getting the BT-003's installed. Starts up first crank stone cold with half choke and 45*F!! Rode it a bit and this thing actually did a little "power wheelie" shifting into second. Love the change with the -1 front sprocket!!!!!  :thumb:

Found out that I'm a moron, once again. Tuesday I rode the bike up here, set up my brother's bike port, and parked the bike in there. After spending a few days in WV, I got back, decided the weather was perfect, and geared up to go for a ride. Couldn't find my key anywhere, so I decided to check the bike port. Key in the ignition, in the ON position.....battery of course is dead. Good thing there's no crime around here.

Dude, the front wheel rose just a few inches for just a second or so. It's not like I was riding on the rear wheel with the front end in the air.......jeez.

I went with Bridgestone Battlax BT-003 Racing Street tire. 110/70 front/140/70 rear. These are for track days and backwood bombing and are radial's. A true sticky sport bike tire.
