Well, I'm sure most of you know that I didn't get to avoid the hospital. I don't know if it was my heart already being cranky or if it was just the infection but it found its way to my heart and I got a life flight ride to the big hospital downtown because my enzyme levels were 12xs what they should have been. They did an emergency heart cath and cleaned out some of the infection but I'm gonna be weak for while. I did do a short ride on Flick yesterday but could only get one errand done needed some cooler gloves. But, walking around the dealership started having a hard time walking straight and realized was probably a good idea to go home and rest.

I have stage three heart failure for starters, Crohn's disease, three knee surgeries, two herniated disc in my back, an implanted defibrillator, ATM also have a three inch hole in my chest, a picc line in my right arm, and can't walk more than 100ft without getting short of breath.

But, it doesn't really matter does it? My doctor filled out the appropriate paperwork I got the appropriate tag from the DMV. I feel that I should not have to "prove" I'm disabled to every jerkwad that thinks otherwise. If I'm breaking the law call a LEO and let him do his job otherwise STFU and leave me alone!

Sorry to hear that mary, hope its better now.

n the handicapped placard, I also am contemplating getting one for my wife's car, kiddo's autism sometimes neccesitates it, they also would give us "deaf child area" for our house even though he can hear. However he doesn't understand and hence the deaf child placard is appropriate and we would get it.

Oh handicapped in NC atleast isn't for wheel chair access type only. You can get one if like in my sons case when he's fixated on something, if you park away from the place we're going to, he will get out of the car and dart across. Not wheel chair only. Deaf or mentally retarded also gets the same privilege.
Cool.

With handicapped parking you dont usually have to cross lanes of traffic to get to the "target" he has fixated upon. And yesterday he had a seizure, his first, scared the living daylights out of us. They spent the whole day @ the hospital, the thing was, they had him in there for a 24 hour test on the 10/11th of feb, and sent us home saying he likely doesn't have any seizures.
But there was no denying it yesterday, classic epileptic type seizure, anyway we're now going to treat him for that, atleast now we know, we suspected it was happening, but now we're sure.
