Just bought these mirrors, thoughts?

Me personally am not a fan of CF but I am a fan of the bar end mirrors. These look like CRG knock offs. Take a pic when they are on the bike to show us and take it for a ride to see how they go.

Are they really carbon fiber or just painted that way?

Yeah they are carbon fibre 'look', time will tell if they are any good

I also think the carbon fiber "look" is real Walmart or Old Navy type of look. Either get the real thing or go plain black or silver.
Also avoid "imitation plastic".

Sometimes the only thing good about the cf look is they are dirt cheap.  Other than that, I'd pass.

Carbon fiber look can be okay if it actually looks like carbon fiber (impossible to tell if its real or not). These, you can see how the pattern is stretched across the surface and is really just a black and grey checkerboard. Carbon fiber looks nothing like that.

Other than that, the mirrors themselves look great and a steal at that price. I would have gone with black if they had it.

Got the same type of mirrors.
just not with the carbon fiber look if they are just stickers.

I wouldnt worry about the "look" if you have something for them to match to.

but as far as how good are they as far as mirrors go.

they work GREAT for me.
I see literally 2X+++ more around the rear and sides to me compared to stock mirrors on top.
I also dont need to move my arm out of the way either! hahaha

cheap and functional or expensive and functional. i'll take cheap for sure. bike gets knocked over or dropped and there goes your hard earned cash. not to mention you buy the cheap ones and send it to tomb, so he can paint to suit

and yeah, cheaper ones are better.
I think the 2 sets I bought (at different times) only ran like $16 or something.
somewhere around but no more then $20 shipped.

and yes, I dropped my bike last year in the grass because it was wet and broke the one.

so now I have an extra one and spare parts
