I bought a 4 pack for a hayabusa off eBay for 20 shipped.  I only used two.

Two for sale for $10 shipped

Dibs. I always need a pair around.
PM me the payment details.

Bluesmudge

are you kidding me? I just PM'd the guy. I guess he can go by time-stamp.

Even if you got them, maybe they end up on my bike somehow... I did help build you an engine  ;)

adidasguy

You can have them, though you have to visit the bike cave so we can video the installation.
(I was going for them because I knew SOMEONE visiting the bike cave would want them. You know I try to have EVERY possible spare part in the Cave.)

skunkteeth

Haha I guess Bluesmudge gets them then. I PMd you back.

Also,

Here is a drawing in case anyone wants to make their own.

(You are aware that if I did get them, you would get them if you came to the bike cave and asked for them  :flipoff: )

Bluesmudge

That's true and probably would have been more efficient if we are installing them in the cave anyways. Haha.

Can someone please educate me on what these are used for?

People remove the pulsed secondary AIR (PAIR) system used on late model GS500s.  Look at the parts fiche for the 2009 model ... it's the metal hose that goes into the exhaust sde of the engine.  The emissions police say that if you pump air into the exhaust, it will take unburnt hyrocarbons and make them burn.

Under "Fuel and Air" it's listed under "2nd Air"  http://www.bikebandit.com/2009-suzuki-gs500f/o/m19099#sch650009

You then need block off plates to cover the holes.  Certain model Hayabusa models have the same opening...they have 4 cylinders, so 2 are always left over for the GS500.

Gotcha. In other words its an EGR valve like on cars/trucks. I'm with you now. Thanks

Kind-of, but instead of recirculating, it's just pumping in air (or oxygen to be exact) to help burn off more hydrocarbons.

I took mine off since SW Ohio no longer has emissions checking.  It never did for motorcycles...only cars at one time.
