Nope. The base is made of plastic and it's generally pretty low quality/cheap.

Electric can opener part. The small round part on the right is a magnet that holds the top of the can to keep it from dropping into the soup after being cut.

:) .. i can see the theory of this... and know exactly why you mean it... but .. no matter how i turn my head or the laptop upside down... i cant figure the actuality of it...

and the look of the thing... based on the part in the pic.. it'd have to be the biggest badass-est man style industrial can opener ever made!! .. which then begs the question... WHY DONT I HAVE ONE!!!

The black disc shaped thing on the right side is rubber. Absolutely nothing to do with a can opener.

You probably wouldn't ever directly touch it or push on any part of it, but it is exposed on the outside.

This!

you what?!!?  :icon_eek: ... frag me!! .. first we have the lock tab for a coke machine with the cylindrical keys .. now we have the Pause 'n Serve coffee filter basket stopper! ..... you'll have to excuse me for a moment  :technical: ......

obscurity level .... well you know .....

http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/7pv7y/whats_the_most_obscure_thing_you_know/

hahahahaha ... i have to say well done really... i mean... the whole point of the game and the name of the game.. is afterall ... What Is This? ... constant pictures of trees or tyres or shoehorns or cats would just make it a tad tedious i suppose..

oh and keeping this last in mind... Belated Attaboy to Cods for his abovementioned lock tab for a coke machine with the cylindrical keys ... it was totally in the spirit of the game afterall.... even though i was  :icon_eek: at the time!!...

bahahahahahahaaaaaa

Um, sort of.... In its intended application, the spherical part is up. But you could possibly use it in the down position.

A mirror mount? Mirror assembly fixes to the screw section, ball section fits into clamp.
Wherever you may be, there you are.

Badot

Some sort of ball socket fitting made to have some kind of fluid run through it?
