I remember Yama gloating the other week .. for when it was his turn.. had a big ass ball bearing, but was going to require WHAT it was FROM!! ..

now i would be guessing... a road bridge turntable bearing... you know those swing/swivel 90 degrees type bridges.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swing_bridge

A bit off a control rod for the reactor?
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Look in Australia we consider nuclear reactors the work of the devil ever since the Russians screwed up so my final guess is part of the big heavy tiles that go ontop of the reactor.

... we do??....  :dunno_black: ... maybe you do!!  :flipoff:

personally i think Lithgow is the perfect place for an Aussie Reactor!!! .. emergencies included!!

but .. that white thing under the ball ... is it a thingy-widget weight for flow control of steam in a pipe leading from the reactor?....

cos as i understand it the 'noo-klee-arrs' are only used to superheat water into steam .. which then drives a turbine to generate eleck-trickery!!

yamahonkawazuki

those two pieces work as a system/together. a bearing and spacer if you will

Would it be something like part of a non return ball valve assembly for cooling water? hanford WA, Los Alamos NM, Oak ridge Tn were all sites also used for the Manhatten project...
