I assume signals are removed for the track, but aside from that aspect...

Very Nice!

I really like what you've done with the tail.  Do you have any exclusive/close-up pics of it?

No a bad looking bike but not the cleanest by any stretch.

Stripe on the tank but no where else.
Weird gaps for the tail light mod.
Rusty exhaust.
Orange peeled paint.
nonsensical decals.
missing bolts.
no chain guard (and tabs for it not removed)
rusty bolts for the handle bars.
missing fairing bolts
Stock rear wheel with 130/140 tire.

As a side note, you need to work on your body position, your butt if way to far off the seat and your all sorts of crossed up in most of your photos. Yeah your knee is down but the bike is way to far over for what it is doing.

Much love for the work you put in but a don't call it what its not.

Are you looking at the same three pics? ... Or are there more that I can't see?  I tried clicking on the arrows for more pics, but nothing happened... if thats the route and theres more, then my phone doesn't like that site.

Jeezzzzzzz. I mean ya the guy's body is tweaked and head not off the bike as much as his butt, but don't rip him a new one. At least he gets out there and tries his best. Plus maybe he just never knew that it is best to keep your head as far off the bike and on the same line as his butt instead of being all tweaked.

I like your bike, especially the red wind screen and carbon fiber exhaust. Looking good :thumb:
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Dude just sayin its only the last three photos where everything is done. Also I run a 150 on the rear at the track and a 130 on the street because I don't ride that hard on the street ......... usually

Fairing bolts have been replace and thats not rust on the exhaust on the two brothers exhaust which.... no one else has its a special bronze connector thing from when I got it especially done for the bike

As far as riding position I have no idea what I am doing other than the fact that I have 2 track days on this bike and my uncle who races ccs helping me day by day. so I figure for my second track day and only been riding for a year and a half close to two I am doing okay  :thumb:

Aye, I was commenting on the rust on the stock pipes not the rest.

don't run a 150 tire on the stock rim, grab a katana rim.

1 Butt cheek off the bike, point your inside toe towards the inside of the corner,
Drop your elbow and lower your head. If you draw a vertical line down the center of the bike. During your lean you want your head to be on the inside of that line. Having your head on the wrong side of that line is called being crossed up.

Good Body Position

Bad Body Position

Are you going to straight track days or a riding school?
Look into a riding school as they will teach you how to ride between sessions at the track.

Also, I wouldn't ever ride a tire on the street that is worse than what I would ride on the street.

The track has as close as possible perfect traction, the street has horrible traction. I ride a BT-023 on my F4i on the street and track and I pass Ducati Panigales and other liter+ bikes (and level 1 riders like myself have to pass on the straights or outside of the corners). Grab a Katana rear, put a 150 BT-023 on the rear and a S20 on the front and you will have more cornering ability than you will ever need.

None of these assholes has any idea what they are talking about.  Just repeating crap they heard somewhere else.  Keep going to the track and working on your positioning and it will come with time and practice.

Or maybe you mick doohan?

I ride with CMRA racers, I go to ride schools. The old racers were not as well informed or just didn't care like the new racers do. Watch a moto gp race and see if you find someone who is crossed up. It takes away from cornering speed and is a risk to the rider as it fights the lean and reduces the traction. Hanging off the bike is all about getting around the track as fast as possible and keeping the bike as upright as possible. The less the lean the more traction patch. Also do that wrong on the street and you can over cook it stand it up and run wide in a corner and get hit by a car.

I use to race and have attended and still do attend track days.  I have also done lee parks schools.  But I don't pretend to know everything there is to know.  For beginner his body is ok he'll get better with time.  No good reason to take a dump on the guy he was trying to share with the group and you just jumped on everything you could find wrong.

I only jumped at his claim of one of the cleanest. I also complemented him on the bike if you read it all he just has work to do to make it one of the cleanest.

In regards to the body position. I was telling him how he should be doing it, I didn't say he was an @$$hole or anything merely trying to help our a fellow rider before he gets himself or someone else hurt. He is reducing his traction and adding lean angle for nothing since he is fighting the lean.
