And be sure to stay on topic.

Jester's life is about to change again: Divorce. Very sobering. That's for sure.

Funny how you are on top of the world one minute only to have things turned upside down the next.

It's been building for years, so no surprise. We are very kind to each other, just looking out for the best interest of our son. Hope I can keep the GS. It's a marital asset, so we'll see.

Jester,

Better to go your own way now than live in not so happy states for years and year only to part ways much later after wasting all that extra time.

Hope your custody and support issues stay amicable.

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Sounds like the GS would be safe if you are both amicable :thumb:
Make sure the Number 1 son comes first in all respect though.

Guys, I'm fine. Actually, relieved.  Will there be surprises?  Yep.  But arguing over a nickel will end up costing $50.

Been building for 3+ years. Turbulent times not good for my 4 year old.  Better in the long run.

Sad but good Jester... my parents stayed together when they shouldn't have and then they recently got divorced... at like 70!

My dad has since re-married... all of 6 months later... turns out he'd been seeing her for the last 3 years!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you guys have a grip on things with your son's best interests, sounds like the best move forward for all concerned, so I wish you guys all the best.

As for me... bike goes in to Brisbane Motorcycles on Monday for the insurance assessment.

And the dyno day looks like a goer... now I need to get those main jets ordered, still no time today.

Two issues here...

1.) Kind of impressive that we got the Jester marital situation to discuss here. Two thumbs-up for telling us what's going on in your life Jester.
Side Note: I usually have more discussion with you LPW nuts that with my own family. Just saying.

2.) peteGS: Are there any photos of your bike damage?
Could you provide a link to you bike-wreck thread maybe?

Pete,

Two things: Forget Brissy M'Cycles for assessment. Take it to Ozzy - unless you're with SWAN.

My folks split after 28 years together. They had Talked about it some 14 years earlier but didn't split and stayed together in misery for another 14 years. Whereas they Could have not wasted each other's time for 14 years and just gone and done it when they knew it was all over.

Mister...Agreed. It was misery for 3 years. Called it quits after many reconciliations failed.  Sad, but at some point there's no turning back the hands of time to fix things.

We have so many guys at work paying child support it's ridiculous. I stopped counting at 14 when I did a count a few months back.

Difficult to put a positive spin on things such as this however LPW is here for you.
I think it takes a rather long time to finalize such matters. 18 months?
Keeping communications flowing (even if unpleasant) is going to be the task at hand as things progress.

God Speed Jester,
And keep us posted during this transition.

Mister: Ozzy's miles out of my way and makes a PITA to get back to work etc. whereas Brisbane Motorcycles is a few minutes walk to the train etc. and I can just leave it there, come to work, and pick it up on the way home. It's primarily a convenience thing (hate being without my bike).

I hear ya on the parents, for mine I think it was more like 20 years... they're religious (or supposed to be) so I think divorce was frowned upon, just more useless rules to follow...

Just cross your fingers they don't declare Frame Damage.

Convenience you want? Yeah, I used to ride my bike to Ozzy and he would drop me off at the train and pick me up again when done. I don't think he needs all day to do an assessment. But whatever works for you. Just that I have Never heard a good story about Brissy M'Cycles and their service/repair dept.
