I turned petrol into noise and shredded rubber
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Noise indeed. Bastard things. Whenever a bunch of harleys go past my house the TV reception goes f**ky and you can't hear yourself think!

weird never have had that issue here.

Joe from Red jacket is coming to Australia for a visit. To Brisbane actually. Wonder if he'll be mobbed at the airport by guntot'n rednecks, or quietly slip in unannounced as most people won't know who is is, and those who do will be like "Oh look, it's Joe" and then go about their business. I think the latter.

My 2006 Harley is (proudly) bone stock and has 3200 miles on the odo.
My 2006 Suzuki has been modded and tweaked x10 and has 46,000 miles on the odo.
Draw your own conclusions.

Potato, potato, potato. . .

The torque of a Harley is awesome, no doubt about it! Would I ever buy one? Nup... can't stop, can't turn, feet blown off the footpegs at 90+kph... for me that's not going to provide any riding enjoyment.

Would I buy a Buell though? You betya! All that torque in a chassis that turns, has big brakes, and won't blow your feet off the pegs... sounds good to me!

Katana gets first preference but if the opportunity ever presented itself I think a Buell could be gob loads of low RPM fun in the twisties... just hold the same gear corner after corner and ride the torque...

The Harley I've ridden beside my little 450:

What time was that yesterday Pete?

A Suzuki Katana?
That was a 25 year run for Suzuki.
Last produced in 2006?

Nah that was during the September Katana Australia/GS Resources run to Urbenville. I rode it from Fernvale to Boonah.

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You bloody Yanks and your abuse of the true Katana name!

Except for the Japanese home market, the *real* Katanas stopped in about '85. This was the last:

Nice... haven't seen Twisted posting on here in a while... unless he's just posting places I don't read  :dunno_black:

More fiddling with carbs today, felt great yesterday but when cold it's a bit hesitant/lurchy just off idle and I had the mixture screws back out to 3 turns, so another quarter turn out this avo' and see how she goes tomorrow.

Also got the shed base leveling finished up yesterday, next pay includes budget for concrete, so about 3 weeks I reckon and I should have a shed base done  :thumb:

But blaming Yanks is fun  :thumb:

No comeback though? That's pretty lame  :flipoff:

I really need to get me a real Katana though... and if the shed base really is done in about 3 weeks that will mean things can start to get moving at long last! Who would've thought it would take 10 months to dig a hole?  :cookoo:

It's been said that any bike shipped to the US market is $1000 dollars more expensive, ten pounds heavier, and 5 MPH slower than any other market.

And you people know how much I simply love the government and their asinine regulations. <sigh>
