ahhhhh this is so cool!!!  :D  pete I spy an ipod in the background... looks like mine but maybe a tad larger... what kind is it?
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

peteGS

Haha cheers!!! Can't wait to finish the mould off so I can make my seat and move on :D

Yup, that's an iPod nano from... ummm... 5 years ago maybe? Serves me well in the shed and garage  :thumb:

Currently full up with AC/DC, The Offspring, Midnight Oil, Live, Days of the New, Tantric, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bush, Fuel, Wolfmother, and The Sunnyboys. I just have it on shuffle  :thumb:

Shuffle is the way to go!! You have an awesome list there... a few I haven't heard of so I will have to check them out  :D

I wouldn't even be able to list all the different stuff I have on my ipod lol... I like pretty much every kind of music there is. I got my ipod almost 10 years ago now  :icon_eek:  I think it's the 3rd generation nano... green!! Only 8 gb though and it's been full for years. I'm always going through my library and changing things out.

The first ipod I got actually survived being washed with my laundry... I took it out of the washer and it was still playing so I turned it off and dried it out for like a week. Worked perfect for months... until I washed it again  :2guns:  :technical:   :icon_rolleyes:

I liked it though so I just went on ebay and bought another one. Super blessed that it's been working without problems for years now  :kiss3:  You're so right, music helps at the garage... and while mowing the lawn... and cleaning... it just makes things better.

Hahahah that's one tough iPod!!! Mine's only a 4GB model so I'm limited how much I can put on there... got a bunch more not sync'd on iTunes.

KC and the Sunshine Band, Rick James, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Hole, John Butler Trio, Florence and the Machine, and many more...

Oh, I forgot I do have Radiohead and ZZ Top on there at the moment too  :thumb:

I don't like a lot of new music, not really into "boppy" stuff or rap or whatever, more of a rock sorta guy but I do hear some new stuff I like at times.

Oh, some of the bands I think are awesome you've probably never heard of as they're Aussie bands of varying degrees of success. Midnight Oil, John Butler Trio, Little Birdy, Spiderbait, Operator Please, Jet, The Screaming Jets to name some...

Got the little gaps sealed up:

And the edges all wetted down properly for extra strength:

And good progress on the ignition switch, frame mount seems to be ready to weld on to the new housing so it can bolt to the side cover mount:

More welding and grinding on the ignition switch housing yesterday and more to do today... if I was better at welding it would be done much quicker...  :icon_rolleyes:

My mate says "grinding a weld clean makes you a grinder not a welder!" ;) ...

He also says. .. when he sees my welding. .. "wtf! Gimme the damn stick fer crying out loud!" ... lol. . :thumb:

peteGS

Your mate is a smart man  ;)

A welder I am not!!!

But all the same I did more and 95% finished the switch aside from paint... keep in mind I had to make it from scratch, bend the steel into tubes to suit and finagle it all to align correctly etc.

It works at least... some paint and noone will ever see it...  :icon_lol:

A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't!

Oh jeez! That's some special welding Pete!!  :woohoo:  :flipoff:

However.... That fabrication/design/finagling...... That is proper Man stuff!!

peteGS

Hahahaha yeah my welding is... ummm... awesome? Hahaha

Still about 1000% better with the MIG compared to the stick though. I gotta be fair to myself at least a little though... that's 0.8mm steel except for the brackets which is 1.5mm steel, so blowing holes in the thin stuff is so easy. Getting good at filling holes  :icon_lol:
