Yes indeed! Gotta get that touch up done and get some better polish, then make them all shiny again :D

Touch up done yesterday, should be able to rub that back and polish it today as it got some sun for about an hour  :thumb:

And the tank got a quick once over on the black only with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on a wool pad on the drill... can't wait to get it all cut and polished now :D

Initial cut and polish all done... although I need to redo the silver on the front mudguard tomorrow... aside from that I'm loving this paint scheme  :icon_mrgreen: :thumb: :woohoo:

 gorgeous work pete.  Man I can't wait to see you put this all together :woohoo:

Here's my paint theme,...paint scheme(?) fender after wet sanding!  Yours is so clean and your lines precise and mine is like a turd rolled down some stairs :icon_razz:

Hahaha cheers CBR!! Definitely happy with that scheme  :thumb:

Wet sanding always makes the parts look like crap, once you get some primer and paint on it's a whole different world!

Hahaha I wouldn't go that far EJ!!!

Definitely happy with the progress though :D

I need to pick up some better polishing pads for the drill, hopefully today. The wool one I was using has gone past it's expiry date I reckon, little bits of wool flying off everywhere are not helping...

I also wasn't happy with the end result of the side panel switches and filler panels, so the black plastic paint made an appearance yesterday. I have a white paint pen to redo the triangles too.

Looks like your using an autopsy of an opossum to lay your parts on,... :icon_razz:

:icon_lol: could be! Threw that paper out today so we'll never know though  :dunno_black:

Cheers EJ! Glad we have clear diagnosis available now  :thumb:

Unfortunately this is an update without pic's... I spent yesterday and today sorting out my Acewell gauge on the 450 and replacing the voltage monitor with a new one http://www.sparkbright.co.uk/sparkbright-eclipse-battery-voltage-monitor.php

The O rings that waterproof the buttons in the Acewell perished a while back and the microswitches corroded meaning no way to reset the trip meter, reset the clock, or check the odometer etc.  :technical:

A mate suggested I seal them up and use external buttons, and he gave me a couple of waterproof ones as well, so they went in and I now have a fully functioning dash again  :thumb:

On the downside, my replaced voltage monitor shows me I have a charging problem I wasn't aware of  :technical: Gotta disconnect the stator from the R/R tomorrow and see what the AC voltage out of that is...

Oh, actually, one pic... picked up new polishing pads for the drill today so I can get back to the Kat polishing tomorrow...

Hahahahah love it Yama!! And nice work on the landing  :thumb:

I thought the Kat paint was looking pretty decent after the initial cut and polish... but then today I did it all properly... Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on white then yellow wool, Fine Cut Cleaner on orange then black foam, then glaze by hand... end result is just so much better and I'm absolutely stoked!  :woohoo:
