Hey guys, I will be taking my m1 test soon and I have a few questions.
1) (most concerned about) If my one of my tires are bald will they stop me from taking the test?
2) can I do my test in normal clothing? cause it gets hot at this time.

Soloratov

Where are you?

I know here in good 'ole NY USA, both of those will basically nullify the test immediately. Being a little warm is a small trade off for being safe. Get some summer riding gear and you will be fine once you are moving.

Slack

You need a new tire.
Most states require you to wear boots over your ankles, long pants, long sleeves, gloves, a DOT helmet, and eye protection.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

1-yes.
2-seriously? Just wear the damn gear - Being hot is a small price to pay for protection.

Maybe some folks took it wrong or I am, but I got that he was asking if he could wear normal street clothes... Like jeans, shirt, etc and not actual motorcycle pants, etc...
If that's what he meant then yes, but it really depends where you are located. I haven't read anywhere that would require you to wear more than what the law requires in you area.

Most strict that I know of is what is required through a rider safety course. That would require that you cover the skin with long pants, long sleeves, ankle covered shoes (boots basically), and gloves. Paired with eye protection and dot approved helmet... But again that is only if its part of a rider safety course
