Ok im putting a newer set of carbs on 89 engine. Where do the lines go from the left sides of thelift control valve nipples? Do they go to the old pair system or to the petcock? Have no idea. Need some help.

OK. Here's a set of carbs. (ignore the circle, that was for some old post).
What are you talking about?

ok top set of carbs. top of the carbs white plastic pieces, they have two nipples on them, on the set I have and in the ones in this picture they have hose attached to only one side, what attaches to the other side?
on first picture of carbs, I have the gas line to the petcock hooked up to the hose that has a red cap on it(the one on the bottom of the carbs) is that correct?
I also don't know what line to hook up to the vac line on the frame petcock.

Nothing goes to the other side. The other side is solid - no hole in them.

The hose mess from the right carb goes to the petcock. That's also the one with the "T" that went to the PAIR system that you cap off.
It also goes to the black canister which is a vacuum reservoir and one port of the black vacuum switch on the bottom of the right carb.

Ok so what hoses goes to the vac nipple on the petcock?

The one off of the front of the right carb that also goes to the vacuum reservior, a "T" to the PAIR system, and one side of the vacuum switch which is under the right carb.

(The same nipple is capped off on the left carb.)

Note the black hose coming off of a T at the top center? That is the hose to the PAIR system. That T continues on to the petcock.

green from what i understand goes to the PAIR systyem, so that going to be switched with a straight fuel line connector.
yellow?
RED? is this one for fuel or blue
BLUE?
does one of these go to vac nipple of petcock?

The horizontal hose at the top (with the white T in it) goes to the vacuum port of the petcock; the open leg of the T goes to the PAIR, but you can cap that.

The fuel supply to the petcocks is the brown T at the bottom between the carb bodies.

The black T right between the inlets of the carbs is simply a vent.

Didn't see the circles before  :icon_confused:
Blue = Fuel supply from frame petcock
Red = Vent - goes over airbox and ends near the battery tray
Green = Vacuum to PAIR (2nd air) system
Yellow = Vacuum to frame petcock

What did people do with the vent coming off the carbs, i was just going to have a spliter and hook it up to the hose coming off the valve cover breather because that has a filter on it. suggestions..

From the factory it goes over top of the air box, is held by one of the clamps on the air filter screw, then the end goes down between the air box and battery tray.

Just find a place where you can neatly tuck it out of sight.
