So today I was riding home and noticed a weird sound so got home and recorded it. Any thoughts?

Is it that rapid sort of ticking at idle?

Most likely cam end-float.  But someone else will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.

If it is CEF you don't really have much to worry about.  There is a "fix" for it but at worst it's just an annoying noise.

It's the louder of all noises kinda sounds like the sound when you bang 2 pieces of metal together
Might be easier to here in this video

How is your oil level and how long since you last oil change?
When was the last time you checked your valve clearances?
I can't tell from the video, but does the sound go away above idle?

It sounds pretty normal to me.

Jimbob

It's still there above idle it sounds like it might away at high revs but that could just be that I can't hear it anymore over the engine. Oil changed about 3k ago plenty of oil there. Valve adjustment done about 6k ago.

sounds like rod knock. mine sounded like this, would actually "go away" at higher revs. when on the bike.

Valve tick sounds more like a tick and less like a clunk. those two videos sound clunky to me.

So I found out it was the bolts on the starter clutch again. Love the bolts made of cheese
Thanks everyone that replied :)
