Has anyone bought delkevic exhaust system?

My bike came with a Delkevic slip-on, not a complete system. I have no idea what, if any, difference it made to actual performance, but it does sound better than other similar bikes I've heard.

The Delkevic exhausts seem to be quite popular on the "Suzuki GS500" facebook group... I see posts about them very often.

Has anyone had experience with both the Vance & Hines and the Jardine or Delkevic?

I have the V&H but never liked how loud it is or how the steel headers develop surface rust within a few years. Been thinking about going to a full stainless system even though the $$$ doesn't make any sense on a GS500. Bonus if its lighter, quieter, or deeper, than the V&H.

V&H is exceptionally crappy quality. Yosh was a lot better back in the 90's.
Now I've got supertrapp stainless on both my MZ's and they are holding up very very well 20 yrs on. So really if its something you're holding onto for many years - get those SS ones.
OTOH - I powdercoated a V&H on my nighthawk and it never rusted like V&H is prone to. Something to think about to save a couple $$$.
Likely when you start seeing rust, you need to powdercoat it again - or atleast spot paint with high temp immediately.
Someone said BBQ grill paint applied with a brush works a lot better than the spray on crap - no idea.

Bluesmudge for what its worth, I have one of the Yoshimura triangle stainless steel mufflers and its deep at idle and mid revs, and gets pretty loud above 7k or so. It doesn't drone on the freeway and sounds great when wailing. I really like it but I'm not sure how hard they are to find these days. I also really like super trapp exhausts and how customizable the sound is, I would have purchased one if I didn't get the yoshi thrown in when I bought my bike.

I second that on the Trioval. They're not hard to find I think, but the flange you're gonna need definitely is. Of course you can always make up one out of steel plate and get it all to fit.
I've been thinking of cutting mine in 1/2 and making a super shorty. IMHO the biggest flaw of that can IMHO is the length.

id like a shorter exhaust too, but need a good muffler since the db increases, like a buell exhaust would be awesome 😁

Late response but I haven't logged on in a while.  I love the Delkevics.  I have (or had) them on all my GSs.  Great quaity for the money and the fit has always been spot-on.

I've have never had to re-jet when replacing a stock pipe, but I've had a few GSs that I bought with aftermarket pipes that needed to be re-jetted once the Delkevics were installed... or I've just installed or removed (or modified) the internal baffles to get airflow correct so that I didn't have to re-jet.
