Does this forum have an app? How is everyone else using the forum, mostly on a desktop or mobile...?

I'm always using a laptop or a desktop pc.

I don't have a smart phone or tablet but before Verizon took away the capability, I used to be able to view the forum on my flip phone if I wanted to.

Like tapatalk? Don't think there is one that supports Simple Machines forums.

I use the internet browser on phone or tablet.  The forum has a theme that is working well on my mobile devices.

Used Suzuki GS500 = motorcycle adventure without leaving the shop.

I use laptop, desktop, or browser on mobile. I used to have Tapatalk way back when (like iPad 2 on IOS5) but nowadays I don't bother because the site works so well in a browser.
