Starter just spins

My 05 gs500f started to not crank, when I hit the switch the starter sounds like it just spins took it apart and nothing looks loose. Seems like something is not engaging  .I would like a direction to start fixing something

Bad starter clutch maybe. Though I've seen it make a loud knocking noise when cranking but still cranking the engine.

The starter clutch has come off the press fit so it can't engage the engine.
