Panic! Please help me figure out these wires

Hi there,

I have a Suzuki GS500F (2005)

In this picture I have some wires that I can't figure out where they lead. If you know, please tell me, my head is hurting.

2. "Orange", "orange" and "black w white tracer"

All other wires are connected to something, so can't figure out where these go

usually black with white tracer tends to be ground. I think the GS gas orange with white tracer for alternator wires - Or no suzuki used 3 different colors for alternator wires. The other 3 jap manufacturers used the same color.
What does the manual say ? You cant id wires by color out of the wiring harness. You need the manual.

Thanks Buddha, I figured it out this morning. It's the illumination wires for my old gauge cluster. So the speedo and tach illumination plus ground. So all works with my new digital cluster and I don't need it 😊

I did find another issue today when I was test riding it first time in two years. After my crash in 2020 I replaced the jets (with your help) and put pods instead of air box. It sounded amazing and ran so much better today, until the carbs flooded and gas came streaming through the pods. Only happened after running around a few blocks. Nothing before.

I took the tank off and turned off the tank petcock nipple.

Can it be my float bowls have gotten stuck since the bike has been sitting dry for 2 years since I rebuilt the carbs?

It pours out evenly from both pods, and stops as soon as I turn off the petcock. It could also be I've messed up with the vacuum lines...

When that happens we shake the dickens out of the bike. Usually that will free it.
You have 05. Those floats dont actually drift high (which the 89-00's do - So you'd have to take them off and reset the right float height).
So you may just be needing to shake it or run it up a bumpy road or tap the bowls with a plastic screwdriver handle whatever is easiest.

I followed your advice, took a rubber mallet and rubber bar, gave it about a minute of tapping, opened the tank petcock and let it sit for 90 minutes. Put the tank and seat back on, turned frame petcock to ON, rode the bike a few blocks and it runs so smooth and great idle.

Buddha, you are the all mighty of GS! Thanks for always knowing and sharing!
