That made me feel sick   :(

I guess your life can be destroyed by a careless jackass at any moment. I bet the *@cker in the Nissan was probably too drunk to even realize he hit anything.   :guns:  :guns:  :guns:  :guns:  :guns:  :guns:

I read the same links on another board that I frequent (//www.gtamotorcycle.com) last night .... I cried when I read those links. I might be a newb, but I wear all my gear all the time when I'm on my bike. I can't even move my bike out of the garage without gloves on without feeling "wrong".

My condolences to Eric's family.  :(

This absolutly broke my heart.
Yet another reason to NEVER compromise and ride without gear.
I hope If I am ever in an acident I pray that it will be quick, and with as little pain as possible, screw being mangeled and living.

I didn't read the links, but from the other posts I assume that the motorcyclist wasn't wearing gear?
A racing friend of ours from northern Ohio died a week or so ago from an accident while on a ride "around the block" on one of his friend's motorcycles.  He didn't bother to put on his helmet & sustained massive head injuries in the crash & was pronounced brain dead at the hospital & his family decided to take him off life support.  :(

^^-- assume nothing... you should read the links... its a sobering reminder that you can be clad in gear head to toe, but that only reduces your chances of being mangled, you are still 100 times more vulnerable than a cager.

My heart goes out to his family.  nobody should have to go through that  :(
