Hey, watch who you're calling old!   :)  If you're old that means I will be in a couple of years.  (I'm 42.)

A 51-year-old gentleman joined up almost a year ago, thinking for sure that he was the senior member around here.  Not by a long shot!  (See this post).

I'm a 23 year old grad student trying to get a PhD in Sociology. I live in Santa Ana, CA and am pretty much a dork who does work most of the time.   :dunno:

About the only "cool" thing about me is that I ride a GS.  But hey, if I was really trying to be cool I would have bought a Gixxer, rode around with no gear because "gear is for wussies" at 90 miles per hour during rush hour traffic to impress the chicks.

I like the fact that we all ride really cool bikes, but they are only cool to us people who really understand them.  They're simple and not showoffish. I like that. (not dissin' anyone here who has a gixxer or anything like that.  I just think there are MORE people who buy that type of bike just to be cool than us GS riders).

Okay, enough rant. Good to meet you all

Hi...whoa just found the site!!
My name's Ann and I have the privilidge of riding Hwy 9 in the beautiful mountains of California. I am a veterinary technician/student who adores her dog and three cats, loves her job, and will be moving to UC Davis this year (Finally). Yup, and I'm a grown up girl scout.
I'm 24 and looking for cool people to hang out with (is there anyone out there???), I'm  trying to make my ooold 89 GS cool again. She was in a really sad state when I found her, but just like a lost puppy, give 'em a little TLC  and they love you back.
Anyway, I'm really glad to find "others like me" ...damn theres really a GS site?!?? How cool. Hey...how do you put pic's on here?
Oh, to live in Costa Rica... no such thing as punctuality and you ride a dirtbike to get around.

jabiergs

Hi there!!

I'm from Madrid (Spain), and have just registered your forums. Here we have lots of GS and in fact the bike is still produced and sold. Pity not having here in Spain all your stuff for our bikes.

Best wishes to all GS'rs and congratulations for your great site.

mondo27

28 yr old from San Francisco but living in west TX.  Been in the US Air Force since I got outta high school and been moving around ever since. I've always wanted to get into riding. This site has really helped me get started. My 96 GS was in a neglected state when I bought her. A dented and rusted tank beyond repair and all the other problems from sitting for a year+. I might have given up riding if it wasn't for all the great folks on GStwin. Its great to see such enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge in a big group. Unfortunetly, my time as a GS rider may be short lived. My wife is pregnant and we already have 2 kids. I told her I would sell it once I got it "running properly". Who knows how long that'll take. hehehe! I'm hoping she'll get over it in time. Otherwise, I'll be posting my GS for sale in the near future. For now I'm enjoying the ride and tinkering around with a great bike.

Hihi!  21 from Vancouver, BC...  CANADA!

Just bought an 89 GS500 (have been browsing this forum for a while now) and finally decided to register.     The weather looks nice outside, sunny with high of 9 degrees.   Too bad I'm stuck in the lab.
