Riding position is relative to what kind of riding you do. A typical ride day for me on my TLR is 300-400 miles. The most I have done is 475 miles in a 12 hour day. If you plan on just puttering around, most any sport bike will be uncomfortable. Come ride with me, as I avoid the long boring straight roads. Moving around on a bike is much less painful.

Quote from: vtlionThe Gixxer750 is essentially a GSXR-600 with a larger engine.  The only reason it has lasted (many say) is that its RnD costs piggy back on the 600's development budget.

:?

Then why is the newly designed gix750 always released a year before the 600? The 750 has the newer goodies then the 600 may get them. The gix600 did not inverted forks until 2004.
Common sense in not very common.

The Ducati 748/749 is classed in World Supersport, racing against 600cc 4cyl bikes, and it's still not competitive.
