I'm over 50  :lol:  with a wife who sorta likes to ride, and a 10 year old son who sometimes likes to ride (go figure). My daily rider is a 2001 Kawi Concours. I just sold my 75 Norton Commando 850, and will unload my 1979 GS-750L as soon as someone makes me any decent offer (heck, any offer! )

I race a 1980 GS-450S as a Land Speed racer, and have been working on it for over 10 years (I'm a slow builder  :lol: ). It's bored out to 513cc at 10.5:1 compression with a boat load of mods. You can see the big list of stuff on the tech page of my site:

Fastest so far is 114 at El Mirge Dry Lake Bed, and 93 at the drag strip (gearing is way tall). Should be able to do 125-130 on the lake bed once I get the fuel mapping and the air/fuel ratios dialed in. My goal is 165-175 turbocharged running Nitromethane at 25-35PSI of boost

Software/Database developer (i.e. computer nerd) from West Chester, PA.  Am picking up my 2004 GS500F in 2 days and cant wait!  I was debating it on and off over this weekend, but am definately going to get it.  Its a great deal with 2,000 miles for $3200 and one slight small dent in the tank.  Doesnt look abused and no scratches etc.  Will tell ya how my first month goes and how the Motorcycle safety course goes...

Well people get personal here and about 5 forum topics already helped me out...so I will try and give back what I can after some experience.

Going to be happily married soon to my wonderful and gorgeous German fiance' (been long distance for 2+ years! and will soon be together finally forever...*whew*).  

I will be using the bike more of a commuter to work and occasional cruiser when the weather is nice enough.  Maybe one day, I can let her test it out after I get the hang of it and if she is interested!  We will see....

Howdy Folks.  Just picked up my first bike of my very own (after 2 solid days of pleading with my wife of 12 years) - an 05 GS500.  Loving it so far.  Dad to 3 kids - 2 boys 7 & 4 and 1 girl age 2.  Been an Air Force Security Policeman for 13 years.  Figure I'll give it another 7 or so to see if it's what I want to do when I grow up.  This site sold me on the bike.  Thanks for all the great info.

    i`m Steve from Australia. I am 41 and have just bought  a new `03 GS  last july, sat in show room for ages. My other bike is a `72 GT750 Suzuki. After 17 years and 370,000 kms (1 owner, 30,000 kms when i bought it) i decided to get a second bike. The GS is now my main ride as parts for the GT are getting hard to find now to use all the time. The 500 is a blast to ride after the 750, feels like a toy.
